Jura Tripper - Encoded and Uploaded!
last modified: Sunday, February 22, 2009 (5:22:15 PM CST)
That's right!
I've been talking about it all week on a lot of other sites, and forgot to post it here!
I have *FINALLY* managed to get the raw episodes of Jura Tripper on to the web. These are nor professional grade. They're not fabulous quality. Each episode is about 230 MB. I'm uploading them with megaupload.com. I'll try to encode and upload 1 episode a day starting now.
On other news, the Jeep died last month, and we're finally getting another car tomorrow. Bye-Bye tax return for the 5th year in a row. And we were so hoping to move and get some furnature that wasn't found sitting next to a dumpster. :P

O_O Rich, you are soooo my new favorite buddy. Lots of YAT, some Daa!Daa!Daa! and Boyfriend cels! And some lovely random cels from Ramune, Powerstone, Dokkiri Doctor, and Ippo!

Okay, somehow, I managed to forget to update my bloggie since june. Man, where have I been?!
Cam's working delivering pizza now, so money's tight, but I still luvs my cels. Rich and I traded some stuff, and I'm hoping to see a nice fat update soon.
Everyone's almost over the dreaded strep throat now. Cam's taking a college course over the intarwebs at Colorado Tech Institute. We just had to have our first major repair on the jeep. Snapped Fan belt. Not so bad akshuly price wise.
Xmas is going to be really really sketchy (haha little pun there.) this year. I promised Tim if he finally nailed the potty-trining, I'd get him a a red Nintendo DS for Christmas. Welp, he's got it! No more worries about him being distracted and having "accidents" anymore. So I gotta uphold my promise! =3 This pretty much means nothing for me or Cam this year (as usual) and we'll have to really skimp on Tim's other stuff. I don't wanna just give him one thing, and have the girls get a pile of little gifts. *sigh* I'll figure something out.
Baby Suzi's walking now! Um.. Miko's doing great in school, I turned 31 in October.. that's pretty much it.

It's been gently brought to my attention that I need to update the world on how my life is going. XD
I know, I should update my blog even when I'm busy or nothing is happening, but lately, I haven't been able to.
First off; my carpal tunnel is acting up really badly with the change in season. My palms and wrists ache unceasingly, and I can no longer grip things (like a mouse or a pencil0 without pain in my hands and cramping in my fingers after about 5 minutes (if that long.) Most mornings I wake up with little control or feeling in my arms up to my elbows (except pain, that's always there :p). Holding a book, a fork, even the baby has become something that needs to be re-thought on a basic level. I have these ugly braces that help my wrists, but they agrivate the muscels in my palms causing intesnce cramping in my hands. So, I'm not doing as much as I was even two months ago. Even so, I am doing SOME stuff, but there is the added problem of KIDS! =D
Summer vacation means Tim is home all day, which makes getting a hold of the computer at all during the day pretty impossible. When I do get to it, I am enmeshed in attempting to encode Jura Tripper.
Yes, I finally accomplished getting my Jura Tripper raw episodes on to DVD. I've been able to rip them to the computer, but converting them from vob to avi or mpeg is a little difficult. My computer is a bit behind the times, so finding codecs and drivers that work together, not to mention a program that doesn't freeze up my computer completely is tough.
I have a test run of episode 1, the best I've been able to get so far. The sound is jumpy in places, and I'm still pulling my hair to get it worked out.
That's what I'm up to lately.
Miko will be going to kindergarten this year. I had to pull strings and beg a bit, but I managed to get her in the same school as Tim. (here in Ohio there's a lottery system for choosing the school in the local district that your kid goes to, regardless of who you pay taxes for.)
Suzi is crawling and pulling herslef up now, Her hair is still blonde, and eyes are still blue. more's the pity. I'd hoped at least one of these little monkeys would take after Cam.
Tim will be in 3rd grade. He's fully potty trained now, and loved to write little books. We went to a teppanyaki resturant last week, and he's convinced he wants to be a teppanyaki chef when he grows up. Too bad he doesn't look the least bit asian. =P
Financially we're holding up. Bills never end, as everyone knows, but we're doing our best to keep everything paid up as nearly as on time as possible.
Well, that's about all right now, and my arms hurt, so I'm stopping. Anyone who wants more details can natch reach me at zagadgita@gmail.com

last modified: Friday, June 13, 2008 (8:08:28 PM CST)
Okay, so I broke down and finally bought a vcr/dvd recorder combo (the kind that can tape your VHS to a DVD) only to find that the previous VHS recorder that I made master tapes of Jura Tripper on looked really AWFUL on the new VCR. Actually, ANYTHING I had recorded on it, from tv or dvd or LD all looked awful. Bleeding black lines all over the place, and the tracking didn't help any.
So I figured, no harm, just hook up the LD player and record straight to DVD. Only.. My disk 1 of Jura Tripper for some reason won't read now. Back or front. So I'm ran a test on disk 2 (episodes 5-8) and recorded the opening to see how it looked. Playback on the DVD player worked great. But when I put the DVD-R into my computer to move the file there, the dang thing wouldn't detect the DVD at all. So I thought, maybe it's just an old DVD player drive. So I popped the disk into Cam's laptop. No dice. "Incorrect peramiter". Cam said maybe I should fill up the disk, not just have the opening. So I'm recording the whole LD currently. Hope it works. Even then, I'll have to figure out what's wrong with disk 1.
:(
Okay, figured out I needed to "finalize" the disk to get it to play in any other DVD player. All Good, WMP plays it fab on the computer now, but the files are all .vob and .pud and things, not .avi or .mpg which means I'll need to find a converter program. Sheesh.
I dunno. The Gods of Anime just DON'T want JT in the net!

Voices confirmed! It's all the old crew!
It's going to be an odd format, with 2 distinctive parts - each covering a tv season's worth of episodes. So, essentially a 2 season streach, but with a division of storyline halfway through?
I dunno, and I don't care! Megumi is Lina, she's singing the theme song OP, and the manga starts appearing in Dragon Magazine on May 9th.
I'M STOKED!

New year, new car. Lump sum from the IRS let us plop down a chunk for quite possibly the best car we've ever owned. It could have sold for 3 grand more, but the guy was a friend. So we now own a ghostly grey Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 1994. Whee!
Other purchases: Cam got his laptop. I got a Gameboy DS. The kids got... practically anything they pointed at. And I bought some cels I've had my eye on for years. Literaly.
Now if only I could find a keyboard that lasted more than a week. Official Microsoft keyboard bought Feb 2nd, and already the numbers 3 and 6, and the backspace key are broken. wtf?

Didn't end up getting or giving any cels for the holidays this year. Money was too tight.
But things went well, (especially for the kids!) and we got good news! Tim was approved for SSI, and we'll be getting a check every month to help upkeep for his benefit.

I still haven't cured the common cold, or won the lottery, but I feel pretty okay with that.
As long as my family is all well, and happy,

Add Comment (1 available)Suzi Lynn Carrington : Born Sept. 22, 2007
last modified: Monday, September 24, 2007 (8:40:24 PM CST)
Mommy and Suzi are home!
Friday 21st - Amniosenthesis and final testing showed that while Baby Suzi was
fully developed, she was already over 8 lbs, and "transverse" or "breach".
C- section was scheduled for 8am on Saturday. Kids went to grandma's and Cam and I had
a final quiet night before surgery. Not that much sleeping was done. No food or water after midnight
and scary prospects made things uncomfortable.
Went in at 6am on Saturday 22nd. After hours of tests, heart monitoring, and
meeting multiple doctors, nurses and aides we were finally given the go ahead to prep for surgery.
Que two emergency cases that had to go ahead of us, putting our 8am start time back until after 10:30 am.
Not that I complained. We were fairly comfortable, and had assurances that the baby was fine.
After getting all prepped, wheeled into the operating room and literaly a minute before they cut,
the surgeon asked for one last check to see if Suzi was still transverse (not head down in the birth canal,
she had been all sideways.). The little dickens moved! She was in perfect possition for vaginal birth now!
Perverse!! That's our kid! A short discussion, and we decide to nix the surgery. This means I'm in recovery
until the spinal anesthesia wears off enough to be moved to a labor room. The awesome thing is that my Mom
can attend in the labor room, whereas we could only have Cam in the OR. By the time we're moved to the labor
room, it's after noon. Twelve hours with no food or water, I can finally have some ice chips.
After meeting more doctors nurses, and anethesiologists, at 1 pm the IV drip has Pitocin added to it, and a Foley
catheter is inserted. The waiting begins. Contractions are lite and I'm still fairly numb from the spinal, so no
extra medication is needed yet. By 3 pm I've dialated from 0 to 6 cm, but the cervix is still thick. Another 3 hours
and I start feeling the contractions as the spinal wears off. After several good hard contractions, we start the
process for an epidural. Because an epidural is a slow start, long lasting anesthetic it doesn't take the pain
of the contractions away completely. For hours, I'm stuck at 6 cm until 10 pm when I finally hit 10 cm, and the
cervix is almost perfect. We decided to go ahead and start pushing. The doctor is called, and the nurse preps me,
the room and calls in the other nurses. After four deep contractions, we can see the head, and the doctor isn't
there yet. I try not to push, but Suzi has other plans. She's done, she wants out, NOW! At 10:24pm the doctor
manages to wrestle his way into the room, just in time to help catch her as she pops out!
She's perfect.
18.5 inches long, 8lbs 7 oz, head circumference 14 inches. There's no way she would have been a "normal"
delivery if we'd waited until the due date. So at 37 weeks, she's born, and healthy happy, and very well behaved.
Lots of post partum testing due to the gestational diabetes, checking sugar levels. Grandma leaves about 11:30pm
to help put Miko and Tim to bed at her house. (Poor Grandpa has been chasing them alone since 2pm.) Cam stays
night in the most uncomfortable couch in existance. I finally get to eat something, after 24 hours of nothing. Worst
chicken sandwich I've ever eaten, but every bite was appreciated.
After a morning (9/23) of more tests, everything finally comes back A-OK. Now it's just normal medical procedures,
weighing, immunizations, etc. etc. that keep us there. Miko and Tim come to visit with Grandma and Grandpa,
but Mommy falls asleep while they're there! Poor Mommy. Cam takes a load of Baby goodies from Grandma,
and brings back clean, cute, baby clothes. A quiet evening of getting to know the new baby, and Mommy sends
Daddy home to sleep in a bed. =D

Today it was confirmed. I have gestational diabetes.
That's why Suzi's so big. She has macrosomia.
My blood pressure is good, and her gross motor skills are great, but she's still not behaving the way the doctors like, and there's worry that the width of her shoulders exceeds my pelvic opening. There's also a great worry for *shudder* stillbirth.
So tomorrow morning, I go in for another NST, ultrasound and *gulp* amniocentesis (big scary needle that they take some amniotic fluid out with.)
Depending on the readings I may be admitted for a cesarean section right away.
So I'm scared, naturally. Plus it means more time in the hospital, which means more time Cam has to be off work with the kids. Lots of blood sugar monotoring for me and baby. And a special diet that we can't even begin to afford.
I'm all jittery and scared. I admit it. That said, I probably won't be around much tomorrow. If you need me for any reason, just email me at zagadgita[at]gmail.com and I'll get back to you when I can.

So my OB/GYN thinks that our first due date was spot on, I'm just going to have a TEN POUND BABY.
#$%@%^%^*& !!!!!!
Cam was a 10 lb baby, and his mom had to have a Ceaserian Section. I doooooon't waaaaant thaaaat!
DO NOT WANT! But it's looking more and more like that's the way it will be.
Every night I go to bed praying for labor to start, and every morning I wake up praying the same. Not that there's a lot of SLEEP in-between.
Yeppie was nice enough to mail a ton of unwanteds to me, and was I surprised to find they were mostly Jura Tripper! Whoo hoo!
Newish banner, new background, because I need every smile I can get these days.
Impossible children, the phone's cut off, massive bills from every direction, food banks with monthly limits f one visit.
The cable's the only thing that isn't currently being threatened with shut off. I expect that missive any day now.
Oh, and I think I even have overdue library books.
It's so hard to really CARE about little crap like that right now tho, when I hurt when moving AND sitting still. Especially when some damn fool at Tim's school showed them a firefighter video where the firemen break a window to let smoke out, and now I have to be extra vigilant, because he keeps trying to re-enact that.
Oh, and Miko will NOT SHUT UP! I swear if she's not asking stupid questions.. (Yes Virginia, there ARE stoopid questions. Like "Why is a flower not an egg?") She asking FOR something impossible. ("Mommy, let's go to the playground! [at 7pm at night]" or "I want [insert specific food here]")
It seems there's always WORDS coming OUT of her mouth. When does she BREATHE!?

XP The car's breaks are sounding squeak-ie, and we know the calipers and one of the drive shafts need to be replaced soon, but we're crossing our fingers that it won't be until we're back on our feet. Tomorrow night at midnight we'll get to go grocery shopping (food stamps)!!! Ahhh.. to be able to afford milk and veggies, and meat again! =D

As some of you know, it's been a comedy of errors
here in Zag World. Newest tragic twist? The car's breaks
died today. >_< WTF!
Cam's got to have the car to go grocery store, and to get to his
new job in 5 days. I'm losing it. We'll be able to go grocery shopping
at 12AM Jun 1st, thanks to food stamps, but how will we get there/home!?
I hate begging, I really do, but we've already borrowed more than my mom should have given us, two different "check advance" places against Cam's LAST paycheck from his DEAD job, and every friend who isn't deeper in the whole than we are.
I have a couple other people who might help if I get a hold of them. One is my Double Doctorate Scientist uncle who gifted us $1000 last year when we were down n' out. I just don't know if he'd be willing again. Another is a friend on another message board who I haven't talked to in ages, but who has been known to randomly give his buddies like.. cars. He lives on his own flipping island. But as I said, I haven't seen him online in a couple years. He might be dead for all I know.
Wish me luck please? I really need it. Any possitive vibes/messages/prayers would be greatly appreciated.

Well dang.
Cam got a ticket earlier this month, right after being laid off.
Actually, everyone got laid off, the company closed his entire
department.
Anyway, we thought we had more time to pay it. But thew police office
just called and said he's got a warrant out for his arrest.
Greaaaaat. So there's a $156 bond to pay ASAP. And I think he has to pay the ticket on top of that too? Arg. And that was like $115. SO!
Now, not only bills, rent, but this lovely added cost.
Cam already has a new job, but it doesn't start until June 4th.
POOOOP.
Anyone wanna buy some art? ;_;

Why can't these people find something else to do? If they really crave destruction and chaos, they should go kick ant-hills or something. Stop ruining the internet for everyone else!
We had to reformat yet again, thanks to Cam direct connecting to a friend on MSN messenger to share some fan art. Turns out the friend is having virus issues, and the dang thing piggybacked right over to us. Crashed us big-time.
Thankfully, because Cam's mutant power seems to be attracting viruses, we keep seperate hard drives, and partition the heck out of the computer. That way, a reformat doesn't loose us much. It's just annoying.
12 weeks pregnant now. Kid's the size of a Lime. Who measures things in Limes!? Brits?
My mom had to make a tough decision last week. Her bunny has been sick repeatedly and just wasn't bouncing back, so she decided to let him go to sleep. On Easter weekend no less. She's still pretty bummed about it. Since all us kids left, she's been filling her "empty nest" with bunnies, but now she's down to one. She say she's not going to get any more. I can understand.
So I heard there are MORE pet food recalls! I heard finally what it was causing it. Rat poison in Chinese Wheat Gluten. .. All I could say was "What the FUCK?!"
We've been MEGA sick the last two weeks, with a super flu/cough that would NOT die. Starting to feel better now, even the fevers are gone, but DAMN! What a miserable time.
Well, we kicked it back and forth and decided that it would be more affordable to fix the old car a bit at a time. So, no new car. However, I did find out something interesting. Credit ratings! Ours is fairly average, 566. However, my Mom and Dad's is phenomenal, almost 800! Every dealer we talked to were seriously impressed. One guy said in the 15 years he's worked selling cars, he'd only ever seen one other that high. Pretty cool.
Cam got promoted(?) to a easier branch of his office, but gets paid .25 less? Um.. Okaaaay.
Got some more scanning done f Mae's big batch o' goodies. Will upload some tonight.
Playing Disgaea (HoD) and enjoying it. I'm looking forward to 2(CM), which Cam is currently working through for the third time. XD
Spring break for Tim! We drew pictures of what we like to do during different seasons today.
I'm so tired of typing. G'Night all!

I wonder if that means I'm getting another Miko?

Well!
I'm pregnant! It's a surprise to say the least. I'm deliriously glad my recent falls haven't affected that, since counting backwards makes it obvious that I was "breeding" when they happened.
I'll be sure to sign paperwork for a tubal ligation done immediately after birth, so that this will be the last lil muffin I bake.
^_^ Names are picked and calculations predict that this one will be popped out right around my birthday. I'll have to go buy a ton of stuff, since we thought Miko was "It". We still have her crib, but I'll need to get a newborn car seat, onesies, etc.
Fun!
I've already started an exercise program, because I absolutely can NOT go through a pregnancy like the last one. I am determined to eat better, and loose weight before I hit 5/6 months. That's when it really starts to wear on you.
Guess this explains why I was feeling all yucky in the tummy lately. XD It's not morning sickness. It's "Whenever your stomache damn well feels like it," sickness. Sometimes in the middle of a meal!
Reformatted c drive today, since the computer was starting to run really slow. All reinstalled, good and aboveboard.
Oh yeah, and Cam baked a chocolate cake!
Anybody have leftover baby stuffs they don't need, email me, okidoki?

At least it was the interior stairs. I was carrying a bunch of grocery bags, and I missed a step. (don't you hate when you do that?) Normally, I'd just stumble, but with my weak leg, down I went. Landed on my knees, and went boobs firstinto the carpet. (Yes, those torpedoes do come in handy for SOME things.) For about a minute, all I could think was, "I did NOT just do that... "
So anyway, that was last week. Meanwhile, we've gotten our refund and pretty much spent it already. I got a swoopy DS lite (The only one the stor had was pink, and they were the only store in Columbus that had eve3n ONE!) Trace Memory was a lot of fun, but I missed some stuff, so I'll play through it again. Also, we're getting a lovely Mazda 626 LE this coming friday the 16th.
(see pics www.twozag.com/car/626-05.jpg , www.twozag.com/car/626-04.jpg )
Soo.. what else? uh.. Oh! Miko got a cute new bed and a neat princess rug for her room. Tim got to stay home from school Mon, Tue, AND Wed. this week, because of bitter cold (zero degrees f. not counting the wind chill) and snow (3 inches. Thank goodness nothing like the 5 inches an hour in upper NY state.)
Mmm, what else.. Oh! We're playing Lineage 2 ( www.lineage2.com ) free for 30 days. Diggin' playing a dark elf, natch. Uh.. hmm.. anything else? Can't hink of anything right now.
Oh wait, yes! Glad we're getting a new car, cuz Cam left a soda in our current one overnight, and it exploded from freezing! (And I had JUST warned him about it that day! "Don't leave that in here, or it will explode!" ... >.> )
Oh! I found a chinese resturant that DELIVERS! Woooooooot.
Think that's about it.

So, I made some curtains today for Miko's bedroom window, out of some old baby sheets we still had. Two, two and a half hours of cutting, measuring, sewing.
Went to hang them, and the chair I was standing on went *crack* and down I plummet.
Had to call Cameron home from work. I'll be walking with a cane for a lil while.
Torn ligament and muscle damage.
Damn I'm stupid!
We are so getting a step ladder for things like this
in the future.
Meanwhile, the IRS is going to be refunding us around
3k this year. Yay! Just as soon as the last of the W2s come in, it's eFiled! So if you sent me money last year, remind me, and you'll get it back to use on cels!
=D
Mean while, I'll be sitting at the computer more, cuz..
Well, standing fucking hurts! XP

My son didn't have school today. So I let him wear his sandals.
(He's autistic, and his current obsession is these sandals.)
So, he went back to bed. (Or so I thought.) I figured, "what the hell,
I'll go back to bed too."
BIG MISTAKE.
He left. Totally walked out the door, out of the building, into the snow,
and went way the hell down the street. No coat, no hat. Long sleeve shirt, sweatpants, and sandals.
WTF!?
Once we noticed how quiet it was, we went berzerk looking for him.
Cam found him in the back of a Police Car, up the street from us.
The policeman claimed to have buzzed our apt. but I'd frikkin hear that.
I'm just glad Timmy's back safe, sound, and his feet are fine.
Sheesh!

I worked all day today to find a copy of
Raggedy Ann & Andy: A musical Adventure online. I finally tracked down a forum post by a guy who spent the last year digitally remastering it, and just finished posting it on Google Video last month.
So I fiddled with somethings until I could download the AVI. I wanted to put it on disk so we could watch it in our Dixv/avi enabled DVD Player. 513 MB fits fine on a disk, but the codec wasn't one supported by our DVD player. So I tried to convert it to an Mpeg, but it was too big, and kept making more than one file. After posting around for some advise on forums, somone pointed me to virtualdubmod. A so, Zag ventured forth into the confusing new world of encoding video.
It took at least another hour to figure stuff out (even with an guide provided by AMV.org) but it worked! I was thrilled~!
This movie had a strong impact on my childhood, and I was estatic that I'd get to share it with my kids.
So around 1am, I popped it in, and Cam and I sat down to watch it .. er.. to make sure the encoding worked well,.. yeah.. ;)
Just as the credits began rolling at the end, the most annoying noise in the world went off. The building Fire Alarm. After quickly assertaining that it was a stove fire in our immediate neighbor's apartment, and that it was out, I called the FD. (Our neighbors aparently have zero brains in a crisis.) Then Cam and I woke the kids and rushed them into clothes, bundled them in blankets and fled out the window with the accordian file I keep all our birth certificates and other important papers in.
3 engines and an ambulance came withing 2 minutes of my phone call, confirmed it was out, started the proceedure to re-set the alarm, and clear the smoke.
So we piled in the car and drove to a 24-hour McDonalds until the chaos was over. Now it's just a matter of getting the kids BACK to sleep. So... I put in the new movie! They love it! =D
ps. bonus points to those who knew where the blog title came from. It's been running through my head all day.

Sometimes I feel like we have it really bad.
Then I read the newspaper.
The local "Our area is so cool we need a little mini-newspaper to cover all the fabulous crap around here!"
paper had a front page column article about the area homeless situation. I had no idea the area we moved into was in this much trouble.
It says there's a homeless couple living in the local grocery store's parking lot. That's three blocks from us. The man is missing one leg, and the other is broken.
They moved over to the parking lot after being kicked out of the local park by police.
How crappy can life get? Not only are you and your signifcant other homeless, but you got kicked out of the park, AND your only leg is broken. WTF is wrong with this area, that they tried to fix it by writing an ARTICLE about it!?
I'm going to dig our old coats out of the closet. We are so driving over there tonight, and leaving them somewhere conspicuous.
I know that if I were homeless, I'd just hate like thunder to have someone give me stuff. Somone gave us a $20 gift card to the grocery store here. I'll put it in one of the pockets. I can't do much else, but I feel like I have to do SOMETHING!
I swear, these news people are stupid as a boiled owl.

I have a new cel! (paid for before the crunch came. I feel a little guilty now, it was only .99 cents tho.) Flower Witch Maribell in One Cel Wonders.
So I opened the mailbox today, and what should I find, but a bill from my old apartment complex!
For $2731.14 ! I laughed, LAUGHED I tell you, because the 30-day statute of limitations was up LAST FRIDAY! She can whistle for it! I'm not paying. In fact, I'm demanding my $150 security deposit back, plus 4 years interest. If she wants to try and go to court for it, I'll dig up the Ohio Revise Code that says she broke the law when she only gave us 7 days to "clean up" our apartment. Law says 30 days. Bitch. So she can sit and spin.
HAHAHA! And the bank said they're going to clear the charges, all I have to do is sigh the affidavid. (Which is what I figured.) But it might take a while. Oh well. I have a secret Santa (you know who you are! <3 ) So things are looking up, and there WILL be Christmas for the kiddies.

GOD! Just when I thought we were rid of her!
I've been biting my nails for the last couple days. The 30 day statue of limitations
for the old apartment complex to send us a bill for any damages they needed to claim
is midnight tonight / 10am tomorrow morning. (Depending on if you're counting when we
were told we HAD to be finished or when we turned in our keys.) So I've been watching
the mail, because they hadn't sent anything yet. So today's the ninth. Last day for them
to get anything to us, legally.
I checked the mail. Just a bank notice. That's weird tho, it's not time for our statement
yet, plus this is too thin.... THE BITCH TRIED TO GET ANOTHER MONTH'S RENT OUT OF US!
She frikking charged our bank account $593.00 on Dec. 04th. With no notifications. I'm so FUCKING PISSED. So now all the money I was going to buy Christmas presents with, and pay bills has been EATEN by this illegal charge. Not only that, but now we're in a NEGATIVE balance
because I only had about $300 in the bank. And of course, the bank is pissed, so we've got a ton of charges from them for insufficient funds. OH OH I'm HOPPING MAD!
And I can't do a damn thing about it until Monday! And then all I can do is start the process of getting an affidavit against the unauthorized charge. And of course that has to go through the mail, which is understandibly crazy right now, due to the holidays! Meanwhile, the bank's going to be racking up $5.00 a day each day we're overdrawn, and Cam won't be paid until the 15th.
I've spent so much time praying lately, hoping that all this was just God getting us ready for a new life. I never expected it to get worse. I'm so fucking depressed. Why can't I get a break? I try to be
a good person. What am I supposed to do for the kids?! If we have to pay the bank back, we'll only have enough for our bills. It can't be.. It's just CAN'T be that there won't be a Christmas here this year. Miko's just old enough to understand it, Tim's already anticipating it. They spent most of
today watching the Veggie Tales Movie "The toy that SAved Christmas" over and over and over.
I can't do this anymore. This is really testing my faith. If it were just me, heck, I could deal with that.
But my kids. My kids. It's not fair. It's not fucking fair. I know life isn't fair. But this is .. I can't handle this. I want to call Cam, tell him to come home. I need a hug so bad. I need someone to reassure me. Someone to hide the pills. I can't call Cam. Leaving early would give him a demerit, and any
more and he'll lose this job. I don't know, I just don't know. I can't even cry, I'm too stopped up. I'm shaking so hard. can"t let the kids see. It would upset them, might set Tim off into a tantrum.
God, why? Why?
I can't type anymore.

Also, I took everything that mentioned sales or trades off the page, as per the new ruling.

*shakes head* I'm so fucked. Our check didn't come in the mail today. I hvae till midnight to come up with $500. I've called every government office that offers to help with emergency payments, and they all want me to call my caseworker. So I called her. Either she's quit, or was fired, because suddenly with no notice, we have a different one. Who is not answering her phone, and her voicemail is full. My parents already shelled out to help with the pro-rate and "first month's rent" which really isn't used for the rent. Nooo, they just call it that because it's the same amount, and they hold it until you move out. So it's really a security deposit. Gawd.
The bank is closed. Cameron's paycheck is almost gon already to bills that were "automatic payments" from our checking account. I've appealed to every family member who could spare it, but there just isn't any chance.
My last hope is that someone reading my blog loves me enough to extend a personal loan to me, at ANY rate of interest they want and paypal me the money. Because I have to give the rent as a money order or certified check, and I can use my palpay ATM card to withdraw the money and buy a MO.
I don't have a lot of hope tho. Everyone who reads my blog ( all 12 people. XP ) is basically as poor as myself.
My kids can't understand why Mommy is crying. They keep asking if I'm sick. I can't tell them I'm scared shitless that we're going to be homless in six and a half hours. Children's services will take them away, I just know it. I've prayed and prayed, the last month that all this moving and crap would be a new start for us.
I'm at the end of my rope. Maybe it would have been better if thast window HAD slashed my artery.
I just. I don't know what to do. I have no options, nowhere to turn. Cam is at his training class. He doesn't know the worst yet. How will I tell him?
Why? I try so hard.. I have to go get some more tissues. I can't type anymore.

Time for me to catch up on what I've missed.
Er.. we'll do some more moving after Cam comes home from class. Yeah.
Not much left. Miko's trike, various pots and pans, last of the canned/boxed foods, bookshelves, and boxes of various stuffs from the closets.
*crosses fingers* If only we can get finished in time! If only our check would come so we can pay the rent! >_< They're giving us an extra day (today) with only a $5.00 late fee since we think it's because of the mail forwarding. God I hope it gets here. Where will I come up with $492.00 + $500 otherwise?! I will not stress, I will not stress, I will not stress.

Also, AT&T let Cam set up a new account, so we'll have internet in 2-3 days. (hopefully.)

An when he gets home, he's beat. =( He had three days off in a row, but something to do every one of them! XP
Thanks for the helpful offers all. It's slow going, but it's happening.
Oh yeah, and we found some local portable dishwashers for sale, on craigslist.com . If we can just scrape together another $25-50. So mayne that will be good.

Left hand, across the first knuckle, and left wrist. Good DEEP cuts too. Thankfully, although it was close, I didn't hit the artery or the tendon. Lucky me! Anyway, 6 stitches later, I'm a bit sore, but all bandaged up. Meanwhile, I think I'm allergic to the topical anisthetic they gave me. Great news, We've signed the lease for the 3 bedroom apartment! I've started packing, and am re-realizing just how much STUFF we have.
It's taking every cent we have, and a good chunk of borrowed money from my family to get us there, but we're OUTTA HERE!
SAme day we signed the lease, CAM GOT A JOB OFFER! He went to the interview, and whaddya know, they hired him! No more crappy food-delivery job, manager or not. Anyone who likes Eddie Bauer should totally email me.
Email me if you want the new address too.
I gotta go see if I can find enough change in the couch to hire a u-haul truck. Otherwise, I have no idea how we're getting the big stuff moved.
We've just GOTTA get out of herre by the 31st. Can't afford to pay TWO rents. XP
Wish us luck, and if you don't hear from us, it may be bacause we're transfering internet service, or the computer is in a box. We may even get a new phone number, so use the cel if you need us. Emil can still be checked on the cel phone too. =D

last modified: Monday, October 16, 2006 (1:33:22 AM CST)
What has gone before: (caution, LONG! it takes 3 posts!)
After a "routine" check on thier apartment, Cam and Zag find they suddenly have only 30 days to vacate, because
the new apartment manager says they are "too dirty". Cam and Zag admit to clutter, but state that they have started re
painting an are having the carpet replaced at their own cost, and have already spent over $1000 toward that end.
No avail. They are assured it is NOT an eviction, just a termination of lease, and there will be no reprisals. Riiiiight.
Wednsday afternoon; Cam and Zag apply to an AWESOME 3 bedroom apartment of the SAME LAYOUT of the one they live in currently, only
3 miles away, (and much more affordable.) Hopes are high, and things are looking up! Wednseday night passes quietly, and Thursady
morning seems full of possibilities! Tim goes to school, Zag does dishes, etc. and plays with Miko.
Thursday afternoon; Cam calls asking Zag to meet him with the kids outside when he gets off work so they can jump in the car and zoom off to the
new apartment complex to sign paperwork before it closes. Zag says "Sure." Tim comes home from school, and plays nicely with Miko.
Thursday evening; Zag gets the kids in order, takes them outside, and immediately Tim runs off down the hill, and into the woods. The woods is a
wonderfully overgrown mess that has a 40 degree angle mud encrusted path to the small creek and on the other side, direct access to a double
rail-road track. JOY! Zag tells Miko to sit on the stairs as she hurries after Tim. Upon entering the underbrush, She sees a lovely new skid down the
path marking which way Tim went. However, he is nowhere to be seen, and does not answer her calls. Zag has Miko join her at the wood entrance.
Attempting not to loose her sanity, watch Miko, find Tim, and not slide down int mud, is .. to say the least .. NOT EASY. Tim is finally spotted,
due to the fact that he's A: Wearing a bright red shirt and B: Carrying a glowing GameBoy. After a frantic 10 minutes of alternately threatening and encouraging
Tim to come back, another tense five minuets pass as Zag attempts to get Tim up the mud slide of a path. Telling him to "Grab the branch" to pull himself up,
results in Tim picking up a twig and waving it about proudly. It's almost funny. After 6 attempts, a very muddy Tim is finally in reach (with Zag hanging from the
afformentioned trusty branch) and he then smiles, and PURPOSEFULLY slides back down. Zag attempts not to curse, and fails. (Meanwhile, Miko stands
by giving encouraging advise, "I think you can get him this time, Mommy!") Finally dragging Tim up out of the woods a mud and leaf encrusted mess,
Zag spends a long time alternately hugging and scolding him.
Meanwhile, Miko finds an abandonded golf club. (Looks like a 1 Iron, probably hot, it's that kind of neighborhood.) Miko pretends it's a hobby-horse. Tim
immediatley demands "Where's Tim's golf club?!" and is told he did a BAD JOB and therefore doesn't get one.
The next 20 minutesare spent sitting on the cold concrete, with Tim in Zag's lap, alternately screaming "Tim wants Crazy Golf!", crying, and shrieking like
he's lost a leg. Zag uses up all available patience calming him, rocking him, singing with him, and generally trying to make him relax. Miko plays hobby-
horse, and sings along. Cam is an hour late. Neighbors walk by looking at Zag like she's some kind of fungus. Zag resolves to be calm when Cam gets there, but fails
miserably due to the weight of the stress of the last hour. This is when Cam tells her that The new apartment complex called to say that the preliminarey credit check
is showing an eviction notice. From their current apartment complex. What a surprise.

last modified: Monday, October 16, 2006 (1:32:25 AM CST)
After a long semi-professional phone call with the New Mangaer (aka Super B!tch),
and some hemming and hawing, they are finally told that the notice is from 2004, when they were a day late with their rent, due to changing banks.
S.B. agreees to fax over official documentation stating we never actuall were evicted, and that the evition notice was resinded. But not until Monday morning.
Because she had a meeting tonight. Yeah. Coincidentally, notices went up all over the complex that week about a complex wide "Welcome Fall!" party, with drinks,
snacks karaoke, etc. on..... wait for it....Thursady night! Yeah, some meeting. Needless to say, Cam and Zag do not attend.
Friday morning; Cameron left for work. Or tried to, but failed, due to a dead car battery. A jump got it started, but it died whenever the car was
turned off. Cam gets a ride to work. Zag attempts to get the old battery out, only to find it's BOLTED INTO THE FREAKING CAR.
After borrowing a socket set, (Cam subsiquently promised Zag a shiny new set of her own at the earliest opritunity) the old battery is finally out. Zag attempts
to load in the spare battery from their old car (which she saved, along with the wiper blades, floor mats, and anything else usable.) without zapping herself out
of existance,as the children watch from the window. Surprise! The replacement battery has the - and + terminals on OPPOSITE SIDES of the dead one.
Turning the battery, Zag finds the terminals' wires aren't long enough to reach the - and + bits. Oh yay! So, now there are two useless batteries.
Friday night: Cam hitches a ride home from work, feeling like he's been run over by a bus. He's sick, dog-tired and down in the dumps.
Saturday morning; After an almost sleepless night due to feeling like a leaky faucet, he drags his butt to the curb for a co-worker to futz with the car,
and give him a jump. He manages to get to work, but the car refuses to re-start without a jump. Zag stays home with two hyber house-bound kids.
DVD watching ensues. Cam gets a ride to work even though he feels like crap.
Saturday Afternoon; Zag hears from the new apartment complex, about the soon-to-be-faxed-payperwork. They ask if she can provide some other papers
today. Zag asks if she can fax them, and then proceeds to do so. Cleans house, cleans laundry, dishes, empties trash and all around plays "Super Mom".
Cam works inside the store because of no-car. He warns his boss that he's sick, and will probably need to call off on Sunday.
Saturday evening; Cameron is indeed, sick. He calls off work tomorrow. Tim goes into the room Zag, Cam and Miko share, and proceeds to rip Miko's bed apart
while no-one is looking. Really. He reduces her foam mattress to hand sized foam snow. Zag and Cam are NOT amused. It is agreed that Miko will now
have to sleep on the living-room hide-a-bed because they can't afford a new mattress. Zag takes Miko's crib-cum-bed apart for the time being. Cam sleeps
fitfully, and Miko wakes several times, crying because she doesn't know where she is at first. Zag calms her each time to let Cam rest.

TODAY; Sunday.
As planned, Cameron stays home. Zag plies him with Vic's Vap-o-rub and Lub.Zag relizes that they haven't been able to pick up her prescription
refill, and she only has half the medication she needs. Tim and Miko generally misbehave as much as possible. Zag attempts
to make what's left of the food in the house into meals. Cam slowly recovers after several naps, and some Disgaea 2. (Better than aspirin!)
In the afternoon, Zag feels drowsy and grumpy (due to meds withdrawl) and takes a nap. Around 7 they get a neighbor to jump the car
and pile in, heading for the Local Car Parts For Insane Prices store. Cameron has the store guy check the battery, futz with it, jump it again
and then goes in to buy a new one. (leaving the car running with Zag & kids inside.) Comes back out to break the news that... The bank denied the
check, and they CAN'T buy a new battery. Attempting to trade in their old car's battery (remember, it didn't fit?) for a new one, since they had bought it there
anyway and had the extended warrenty, they find out that they can only trade it for the SAME KIND of battery, in otherwords, a new, but useless one! Yay!
They do this anyway, on the pretense of "Hey, why not?" It costs 68 cents tax, but still does not solve their problem. Cam agrees to keep the car running
and circle the parking lot while Zag runs in with the kids (who are not happy to have been cooped up in the car all this time) into the grocery next door.
After a quick "I want oreos! No wait, Cheet-os!"- filled trip, they pile back into the car and head home. Upon pulling in, and turning off the car they are surprised
to find the interior lights and headlights are suddenly staying on. Cam Turns the key and... the car starts! They turn it off again, and wait 30 seconds.
The kids fuss. The parents pray. The car starts again. Zag and Cam look at each other and Cam finally says .. "Well, now I'm glad the check wouldn't
clear." After unloading the groceries and getting the kids inside, Zag remembers that she left something in the car. It's now been 10 minutes since the
car was turned off. Zag opens a door and... there is Light! Cam and Zag agree it's been a hell of a week, and that it's time to END it! They all go to bed, after
Zag types this long ass blog. The End (of one week)
Join us Monday for Zag's birthday, and god only knows what this week.
Oh yeah, and Miko is completely potty trained.

Add Comment (0 available)UPDATE : Super B!TCH SQUIRMS!
last modified: Tuesday, October 10, 2006 (1:01:59 PM CST)
Updates on the Sitch:
The Manager claims now that it's not an "eviction" but a "termination of lease due to violation of paragraph 7 of the rental agreement." Riiiiiight.
According to our lease: Tenants' Responsibilities :
"7. Tenant agrees to keep that part of the premises that he occupies and uses safe and sanitary; to dispose of all rubbish, garbage and other waste in a clean, safe and sanitary manner, in the recepticles provided."
So, don't keep trash in your apartment and throw it in the dumpster. Check.
"Tenent shall keep all plumbing fixtures as clean as their condition permits; to use and operate all electrical and plumbing fixtures properly and comply with all requirements imposed on Tenants by all applicable state abd local Housing, Health, and Safety Codes."
So, clean your sink/bathtub, don't screw a lightbulb into the shower, and meet the Ohio and Columbus Health Codes. Double Check.
That's it. That's section 7. I'm not violating any of that. I'm double checking on the actual guidelines of the Columbus, and Ohio Health and Safety codes, to be able to say "See? See?".
We are so in the right here it's not funny. She's out of the office today, but tommorow I'm gonna nail her with the news that I'm engaging an attorney. Let's see what HER boss thinks of THAT!
On another note, yesterday, when we were discussing this change of "eviction" to "termination" I turned in my keys to the office and maintinence rooms, which I had due to being a Night Manager. I didn't want any chance of something "disapearing" over night, and having a finger pointed at me.
Not that I said that. I just said I figured she'd need to give keys to whomever she had lined up to sub for me this week. She gave me saucer eyes and said: "Oh. I hadn't considered that." You see, she is the night manager for the property she managed previously. So she couldn't do it. Muahahahaha.
I generously offered to continue with my duties if she couldn't find someone in time that night. (Night Manager duties start at 6pm, I talked to her at 5:15pm. =D ) She looked pretty sheepish, and said "Thanks, I may take you up on that." I enjoyed watching her squirm, but didn't show it. I politely said bye, and waited to see if she DID need me.
She never called, so I guess not, but I hope she had to scramble to find someone trustworthy in 45 minuets. Muahahahha. *cough* Okay.
Thanks for all the comments, emails and responses. I've had over 30 people respond, and it's a unanimos "That's bullshit, your place looks fine, they're screwing you, get a lawyer." Nice to know ya'll got my back.
Oh, and another thing I noticed on my way to check the mail. Our immediate neighbors are suddenly packing up too. Hmm.. 103 was empty already, 104 is suddenly packing, and we're 105, the corner apartment. Double Hmmm..

last modified: Monday, October 09, 2006 (12:18:45 PM CST)
I can't belive this! The apartment complex we've lived at and worked for for four years, is evicting us. There's a new manager who'se been here less than a month, and from the start I got the feeling she didn't like us. Then, BOOM!
They said they were coming to inspect our paint. We've been re-painting the apartment because of all the scribbles. They said they wanted to see how far we had gotten, because we had already paid over $1000 (a bit at a time) to get the carpet replaced. Instead of looking around to see when we'd be done pianting so they could do the carpet, the new Manager gave me a week's notice that if our apartment wasn't "up to code" we'd be evicted. I thought, well, it's a bit messy. Toys everywhere, dirty clothes hamper in the living room. A week? Heck, I could clean the place up in an hour. No biggie.
Just to be on the safe side, however, Cam and I knocked ourselves silly cleaning, organising, and generally making the place look awesome (minus the carpet, natch). 10 am this morning SHARP, the manager walked in with video camera in tow, found a lone un-popped popcorn kernal in a corner, and pointed out two places where the kitchen linolium was scratched, (Done by the maintenince guys, btw, while repairing our dishwasher, LAST YEAR.) and handed me the 30-days eviction notice. She had it with her, all typed out and pre-signed.
I'm posting pictures of our place taken right after she left. (There's some orange yarn Miko was following me around with all over the floor, but I just picked that up.)
Miko was jumping into the shots, so you'll see her little blurry face. =D
The shot of the stove shows where we had a fire, (which we've ALSO paid to have replaced, and were just waiting for them to get to it.) For the home of two Otaku with a special needs child and a three year old, I think it looks damn good. Cluttered, yes, I admit that, but DIRTY? Not up to HEALTH CODE?
PLEASE! Tell me what YOU think?
http://s71.photobucket.com/albums/i153/zagadgita/
Bear in mind, we're replacing the carpet, so it doesn't count.

Add Comment (2 available)A CAR is Born .. okay sort of. Well, not really.
last modified: Tuesday, September 26, 2006 (10:00:00 PM CST)
Yes, today we bought a used car. Dodge Dynasty LE 1996
with 3 extra tires included for $400. Not bad, eh? It's a boat of a car, but she rides smooth. Some nasty ole rust around the rims and some of the cheesy decorative plating is peeling off the outside. Internally the only thing that raised my eyebrows was the ceiling. You know how some cars have that fuzzy fluff-like carpetting that sheds all over? Well, this USED to have it, they peeled it off, so it's just the gummy/flaky glue up there now. I've got a big hunk of black faux leather I'll cover that with tho. Speakers work good, heater works, needs air conditioning re-charged, but that can wait until next summer. Silver/grey with grey interior so not a heat magnet. Automatic EVERYTHING. Dood, you can move the seats all over the place, tilt them back, forth, front, all with a weird little joystick on the door. Power windows and locks too (hope nothing ever breaks the switches O_O ) and AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION!!!!! ( I suuuuck at stick shifting) It's a 4 Door, halleluia, with child safety locks and windows that only go half-down. HUGE frikking trunk. You could fit a couple bodies in there. (Not that I would.... yeah >.> ) And it shuts itself automatically.. Like, don't slam it, just gently push it down until it's almost closed, and there's a hydrolic arm that pulls it securely closed. God it's so creepy. There are little lights everywhere. The vanity mirror is lit, the backseat has little reading lights, there's even backlighing on the center rear-view mirror. O_o;;; The hide-away armrests have hidden cupholders in them (nice!) Only thing I want our mechanic to look at is the standard factory alarm. I want it GONE! The thing goes off if you unlock or open any door other than the driver's side first. You can only turn it off by prying the driver's side door apart and fiddling with wires. That's so outta here.
Anyway, it's a good car. Belive it or not, it's LESS to insure too. Who knew.
THIS JUST IN : Cam just called from work where he was showing it off. Aparently, it starts, but won't GO. ... They think it's bad fuel since the dood had it sitting for about a year. I sure hope so. The thing drove all the way home from the guys' house fine.. that's about 20 miles. Why would the fuel suddenly go "bad" ?! I wonder if Cam forgot to release the parking brake....

I know she was having some medical problems... If anyone has talked to her, please let me know? Zag worries... I just want to know if she's okay.

That's right, Ryouga went on ebay, and has a bid, so I've taken him out of my gallery.
Meanwhile, I sent Kath a Weis Kruez cel I was surprised to find I owned, in exchange for some rather goofy J-decker cels that I LOOOOVE <3<3<3.
And she even threw in a Rai cel that she described as looking like a "Human-Inuyasha / Kenshin hybrid!" And F--- me running, he DOES look like that way! XDDDDDD
Snagged an awesome background (

Just felt like blogging. *GASP* No emergency? No sudden sales? Nope.
Things are okay right now. Ren't paid, A/C's great, Gas tank is full, and food in the fridge. The kids are even back to sleeping through the night (THANK YOU GOD!) Once I pay the phone bill today, we'll be sitting pretty.
Which means that now I can finally catch up with all those lovely cels that I've begged people to hold for me. Yay!
>.> .. <.< .. If Cam can drop $100 cash on a new cell phone, I can buy my cels, right? (That was purely his tip money for one day. Nice!)
I've got some finishing up to do on Buma's Priss art, and then all my commissions are done. =) All I need now is a couple quiet hours. HA! and HA! again say my children. -_-;; Well, maybe once Cam gets home.
Maybe we can go get some new(er) movies at the library. I'm sick of watching Thomas the Tank Engine and Fraggle Rock over, and over, and over, and over... (ad nauseam) [Look that up in your Funk & Wagnalls'!].

So today we went to the used video game store because Tim has been going crazy wanting a super mario game. (Lord knows where he got the bug. Probably saw a website or something.)
Anyway, our local store had a bunch of anime DVDs for super cheap. Some were even imports with straight japanese. We thought, hey, why not. So we picked up a couple. Sister Princess 4 disk set for $5.00 ? Why not?
... BOOTLEGS! ...
Our first clue as we start the first disk of Sister Princess:
http://www.zag-los.com/images/boot-01.png
A quick check of the disks, reveals:
http://www.zag-los.com/images/boot-02.png
And it only gets worse. (Or better if you are strange like us.) Aparently, these were CHINESE Bootlegs, that someone slapped litteral translations to English on to. So the English subtitles read like total crack!
And the Names are all Chinese names spelled out in English, rather than using the actual Japanese names. It's a riot. Well worth the $5.00.
I feel sorry for Karin-chan who's name aparently in China translates to "So Poor" .. so everytime she walks in it's, "So Poor, where have you been?" XDD
My favorite line so far is
"It come form you magical heart."
*dies laughing* Man I needed this pick-me-up.
Wonder how bad the subs for Dragon Knight 4 will be... ? O_o

Add Comment (3 available)The imporance of owning Leda
last modified: Saturday, June 24, 2006 (8:39:09 PM CST)
Wishlist cel aquired! Leda; the fantastic adventures of Yohko cel (2 layers even!) is added to Absolutely NEVER for Sale section. Why?
My very first anime. Dad brought a raw VHS of Leda and one of VIFAM back from a trip to Japan. Imagine I, age 8 watching them over and over. After about a year, the obsession wanes.
Skip ten years, I'm 18 and have just re-discovered anime. The need to own a piece of my first forrays burns within me. I slowly manage to gather some VIFAM perephenalia, and cels. Someone even fansubs it! I excitedly hoard my goodies, but I never forget Leda.
Again, fastforward ten years, I'm 28 and have finally aquired a piece of Leda. A lovely two layer cel. The layers came right apart thanks to my freezer. A pivotal scene, Yohko (with Lingam) are forced to retreat from attacking planty-mecha-men. After this, she's forced to fall into a giant flower, where an amazing transformation takes place. So this scene is the last time you see her in this outfit until the very end of the movie.
Yes. I haven't viewed this anime in close to 10 years. But each single scene is burned into my heart and mind.
And now I own a piece.

Yes, I'm still nuts about VIFAM.
20 years, and still a fan.
I got ahold of something I thought I'd never get.
The LP record of the show's music. Dirt cheap, and from a seller I trust. Paying for it was like preforming a root canal with a rusty fork.
Any dontations or money earned in the last couple weeks did NOT pay for these! I sold a whole lotta CD's I don't listen to anymore to finally get enough ready cash. All donations /money earned went to the family. Just so no-one thinks I don't have my priorities in place.
Couple cels went bye bye, one of a gargoyle from Dragon Pink fot sent off to Japan, and another from Mahoujin Guru Guru went to Kris.
Some wishlist cels actually made it into my hands, thanks to an insanely nice eBay seller. He cut me a deal, since I sent some buisness his way. Whatta pal. Another great eBay seller is trading me some items that wouldn't sell for my ID expertise.. Is that cool, or what?
Cam finally got ahold of the IGN personell in charge of freelance payment. No checks until the 29th at the earliest. Is that a bitch or what? So we've been getting by on promises to the electric company, phone company, car insurance, etc. Biggest cost recently was gas and training pants for the kids. Miko's doing well in learning to go in the potty, but Tim is still mystified. Oh well. XD
So it's been an Up and Down week.

Yes, It's that desperate. I'll be posting various places.
For a limited time, I am willing to do damn near anything for money.
Drawings, anigifs, roleplaying, writing, crappy translating, paint your fence, get your dry cleaing, lick your shoes clean.
If it will keep my kids in food and shelter (and diapers) I will do it.
I only draw the line at any form of sexal action, or anything involving my naked (and scary) body.
At this point, I'll even let the buyer set the pay scale. I'm selling myself cheap, I know but even $5 would help.

Some cels that I've hesitated on selling before are up in my sale page now. I just can't afford NOT to sell.
I *MAY* be putting more of my beloveds up later, if these don't sell..
But there are some I just won't part with.
Chad sketch from BLEACH
Juri from YuYu Hakusho
Suzu from Fire Tripper
Pretz and Rouge Final Fantasy LoTC
Gourry and Lina from Slayers
With You (in One cel wonders)
T. Pappara-tai (in One Cel wonders)
Parfait and Coaco from NG knight Lamune
Any of my Vifam cels
Any Jura Tripper cels
Most were hard won or gifts. They're the heart of my collection.
At this point anything else is up for offer. I'm just not sure what some of them might be worth to other people. To me, of course, they're priceless.
Feel free to drop me a line.

last modified: Wednesday, April 12, 2006 (11:42:28 PM CST)
Dave sent me the rest of the JT LDs to watch, what a sweetie! I've now seen up to episode 16 (LDs 1-4). Good stuff, but still none of my cels in sight. Ah well, maybe the next one.
Once I'm done I'll be sending the LDs (plus my LD #3) back to Dave. The fansubbers he was working with a decade ago disapeared with his #3. So now he'll have the complete series again.
Then (hopefully) the burning to DVD-r shall begin!
Meanwhile, after watching uncountable episodes of anime subbed, I can pretty much catch the jist of what's going on. I also was able to glean lots of images and info from the LD covers and inserts. Can't wait to share it with the rest o' ya'll.

last modified: Thursday, April 06, 2006 (8:26:19 PM CST)
Over the years, I've been paring down on the content of my webpage. Well, more like outsource-ing. Rubberslug for my cels, Side7 for my art, and now SBCYahoo! photoalbum for well, photos! Why? Cuz I'm cheap.
Right now, my webpage/server company gives me 88MB. Even with all my outsource-ing, I'm using 74MB! Mostly it's my cels. There are some that are multiple layered, and Rubbersug currently only allows for One large image and two sketch spots. So if I have a three layer cel with 2 sketches, if I want people to be able to view all the layers seperately, I have to upload them to my website and hotlink to them. Condsidering how I like to show my cels at as close to actual size as possible, they are fairly large files. Also, I have a title graphic for each series catagory in my cel gallery. Each is around 100KB, PLUS I have a seperate character graphic for all my seperate Jura Tripper character pages. Those each average around 50kb.
Even after removing my Jura Tripper image archive, and all our family photos from the last 3 years, I'm still only at 74MB!
O_O
So it's buy more server space from my current company, or find an free image dump site. Like Photobucket.com. Only problem is they have bandwith limits. I need to find out just how much bandwith I use a month, then I'll figure out whether I can keep from having one of those ugly "bandwith exceeded" banners.
Yeah, so. What am I saying? I dunno. That was just what I was thinking about today, while I fought off this migrane.
What? You thought I was going to sell my collection, or quit collecting? As IF! XD

Gordon's Jura Tripper cels came, and MY aren't they pretty! Hooray Hooray!
I recently got in touch with Dave, a guy who had shelled out to have the first 3 LDs of Jura Tripper fansubbed to VHS a few years back. While the company has diapeared (with his 3rd LD, incidentally!) and he doesn't have the scripts, we have... A PLAN!~!!
1> I send Dave my 3rd JT LD.
2> Dave records DVD-Rs from the LDs
3> Dave forwards DVD-Rs
4> Somehow, get ahold of the SVHS JT subs (Maybe Dave can lend them to me.)
5> Transfer DVD-R files to computer, and convert to AVI.
6> Find translator to make scripts.
7> I time the text.
8> Find a way to distribute.
Conditional step: If I can get the SVHS tapes somewhere, I can cull the scripts from it, by painstakingly pausing, reading the text from the screen, and then transposing it to a text document on the computer. Using this script, I could time the first.. 8? I think Episodes done by the fansub company. Of course I'll list them and the translator in the credits.
It could work!

Heh, I just love when people lock themselves out of their apartments. Since Cam and I moonlight as Emergency Night Managers, we get some nice perks.
A nice chunk off our rent amount.
A buddy-buddy relationship with the manager, mantinence guys that REALLY comes in handy.
The ability to go pound on someone's door and yell " _ Night Manager! Turn your music down!"
And a crisp $20 everytime we have to let someone into their apartment. Yep, they have to pay us a twenty. Why? Because we have to follow this annoying procedure.
1> Take their ID after confirming that it's theirs.
2> Walk over to the office building, unlock and enter the office.
3> Find their rental agreement in the files, check signature matches, adn make sure they are listed as entrants in the contract.
4>Go to another building, retrieve the spare key for their specific door.
5> let them in, return ID, return key to key drawer, lock offices, walk home.
It's in their rental addendum. They HAVE to pay it, or we don't let them in. And if they try to weedle, we are legally bound to tell them that because of the Federal Fair Housing and Ethics Procedures, we cannot "let them off this time." Because it wouldn't be fair to the other people who had to pay.
Yeah. So.. Now we have Gas Money! All thanks to some bonehead resident who locked their keys in their car.
And so I don't sound like a hypocrite, Cam and I have 4 sets of keys to our apartment building/door/mailbox. 1 set is my mom's in case of an emergency, one is mine, one is cam's and the spare set stays in the car's glove box, hidden in an Altoids tin. This is standard procedure for us. We've done it everywhere we've lived.
Not gonna catch us out in the cold!
Now, please pardon me while I go smell my new Twenty. *sniff* Ahhhh...

Ever had one of those "countdown" days?
Where something you're looking forward to has a specific time, and you spend the day killing time?
I had one today. Recently we re-applied for welfare. As far as we knew we had been accepted.
Tick tock, Tick tock. March 1, 12:00 AM. We've been at the store an hour, shopping. Getting all the
stuff we really need for the next day and a half. Cam goes to "re-charge" our direction card (
http://jfs.ohio.gov/OFam/ebt.stm)
to pay for our cartfull. As far as we've been told, we should have $500 waiting for us at the stroke of midnight.
A minute passes, two.. and Cam comes back. "We have a problem."
$0.00
.......
Cam even called the help line. It shows no incoming funds.
Of course we have to put almost everything back. We get bare essentials.
Needless to say, Cam is royally pissed, and worried about other benefits, like insurance.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed that there's just a small mistake somewhere.
I hope. I pray.
Because the master cylender on the car needs replaced. It's causing the brakes to fail.
Please. PLEASE let it be a glitch.

Also to cheer me up, I got a package today! O_O
Bunny finally remebered me! She sent me the wonderful oversized cel of Donivan wearing the lie detector hat from Jura Tripper, and threw in some AWESOME "I'll mkae a habit of it!" multi-layered cels. Having something to scan and actually update made me feel pretty good!
And today, Miko came over and said, "Wake up MaMa! We are friends! Want to play in the living room, throw a ball with Miko?"

But! Since Cam's W-2's came in the mail, and I filed for free online, we're going to get a major refund (couple THOU.) in 10-16 days. Yes, kids can be annoying, but the gov't loves to send me money for having them. So, with the combined total of my sales, donations, and the refund...
WE'RE GONNA BE OKAY!
*ecstatic*
Thank you, Thank you, MINNA-SAN for all your well wishes, help, and advice. You really pulled me through a tough time! Big zen hugs for everyone!
Toys are still up for grabs on the sales page. They're not getting any love here, and if I took them out of the closet the kids would trash them. So if you wanted one, lemme know.
I'm officially calling off my gallery sale.
This does NOT mean you can't still make an offer like you normally would if you saw something excellent. It just means I'll be more picky.

Yeah, so. First, Thank you SkyRat for trading those lovely Jura Tripper cels for the cel of cats. The sketch is a second layer sketch to one I already had, so that was super neat.
My mom's in the hospital. She had some really weird reaction between the medication she takes daily and her prescribed sleeping pills. So she in "observation". Nothing serious, just enough to make my stomache hurt. (Seriously. Puking from stress is even less fun then being actually sick.) Since Monday is a holiday, they'll be keeping her longer than they would regularly. So we're trying to think of it as a mini vacation for her, with doctors.
eBay is such a pain! I'm going to have to re-list an auction for a THIRD time, because their auto-scanner thought my auction was of mature content. Well, technically the cels are from hentai anime, but the cels themselves were clean.
So I have to leave out the words "older" "adult" "hentai" "explicit" etc, etc, etc this time.
I swear from now on, I'm writing up my auctions in notepad beforehand, so I have them saved. >_<
Blue's Clues continues to reign supreme in our home. But after the kids are asleep, we crack out the BLEACH. Up to episode 36. When does the "get-the-crap-beat-out-of-Ichigo-before-he-finally-
uses-some-new-power-up-then-move-on-to-the-next-guy"
part end? And Rukia is looking pensive as ever. In her 3 scenes an episode. And f*** I miss Kon?! I know he gets to do the little intro of the Cap'ts, but SHEESH, this story arc needs some comedy! -_-;;; (I usually dispise Kon, but.. I'm almost wishing for his gooberness.)
Oh yeah, and.. Is there something in the water in the Soul Society that makes all the women have Super Boobs? .. BOTTLE IT!

Add Comment (1 available)The only bad thing about collecting "junk" cels....
last modified: Saturday, January 07, 2006 (11:51:27 AM CST)
They have like, zero value.
I know, I know, I'm incredibly lucky, because the uber generous cel collectors who owned them before either sold them to me really cheap, or just flat out gave them to me. And I love them! I do!
... I just sometimes get a twinge of jealousy when I see others in emergencies being able to seriously ask over $100 for some of their treasures. Granted, they paid out the nose for them, but I still sometimes wish I had that kind of "back up".
Every time we get low on food / diapers / gas, something else has to go. So far, the only reason my cels are safe is that they're worthless to anyone but me. Gifts get taken back, DVDs traded in, Books sold. We even tried the old "sell your blood! (plasma)" but both Cam and I have these hyper tiny veins. So they shoo-ed us away.
I'm deading the end of the "holiday season", including the window of time for returns. Cam's high paying job is supposed to only be temporary during the holiday rush. Sometimes, people get asked to stay perminently, but no one's mentioned it to him yet. =( With me not working, and two kids breaking everything possible, it's tight enough around here to get sweat from a stone, if not actual blood. XP
The little work I do by answering the phones after-hours for our apartment complex knocks about 25% off our rent. We're currently recieving "asistance" (read: welfare) from the state, but that's a limited time thing. Cam, thank god, qualified for federal grants for college, so we're doing all right there.
At least our health insurance is free (thanks welfare office!) but our car insurance, ouch. And it looks like we'll never be able to afford to replace that headlight that got totaled.
I should really stop whining. XP Blame it on the whoremones.

last modified: Tuesday, January 03, 2006 (11:43:47 AM CST)
Ah, the joys of sharing your bedroom with a 2-year old.
I attempted to keep my sanity last night, as Miko kept me up for the third night in a row.
Tried watching a movie with her. Tried carrying her around. Tried sitting with her, Tried playing computer games with her.
Didn't want to watch the movie, didn't want to be held, didn't want to sit down, and ... get this.. the computer mouse was upsetting her.
Recently, My computer's been acting crazy, so I've been using Cam's more and more. Think my processor's shot.. anyway! So since cam was using the old roller-ball moose that came with the old computer, I switched it with my nice laser optical mouse with scroll wheel.
Miko hates this. Mama's mouse goes with mama's computer. Dada's mouse goes with dada's computer. She keeps moving them back to their former places.
Only thing is, she just moves the mice, not the connections. So I reach over try and click, or something, and .. hey.. why isn't this working!? The cursor isn't moving.. what the.. !? Oh.. wrong mouse. Switching them back just makes her hysterical.
So between being sleepy, grouchy (whoremones) and having a screaming, flailing 2-year old flinging herself around, I missed out on whatever we were all talking about in chat last night.(oh yeah, and indegestion from cheap sushi.)
I saw some "hi!"s and Roy was glad my dad liked the cel, and joe was talking about a ld player, but I missed most of the details, and stuff.
Please forgive. ^_^

You read it right. I didn't buy any cels this holiday season.
Kids had a great holiday. We of course, ahd a stressfull one. -_- It was more fun being a kid at x-mas.
Cross your fingers with me, I just purchased Cam's BIG present of the year. He got a refund of his school grant and I just blew $100 of it on....
A laptop. Yeah. On ebay. Same make/model as the one we had (which means all these extra parts will come in handy) that broke. Presario 1200. How old is it? Lemme put it this way, it has a "Y2K safe!" starburst on the official Compaq webpage. XD
It was $60, without hard drive (no biggie, I have one.) and no NIC card, but they're cheap. With shipping, the NIC card (and it's shipping), it all came out to a grand total of $99.73.
I sure hope everything works.

Yeah, while keeping count is cool, I'm tired of looking at my wonderful JT cels, all labeled Jura-randomnumber.
So I'll be giving them approprite / amusing names instead.
Got an email about
http://AnimeCels.net having a 50% off sale, and ran to check on the Jura Tripper cels.
OUCH.. even at half price, he's asking way too much. Consider, I got about 100 out of 118 cels FREE. (and paid maybe $1 each for the others) and he wants (including the half-off) $30 for ONE CEL. Plus another $12 shipping from Canada. (insane!)
So... not gonna be getting them. Oh well.
Hey, any Gasaraki fans reading this? Check my unknowns? I got a couple cels marked Gasaraki, but I'm not sure about them. Of course, if you're a fan, and want them, throw me an offer.

Couple of neat one cel wonder additions, Gasaraki & Z-Mind. Couple I'm not sure about got stuck in Unknowns. MonColle Knights additions, Hajime no Ippo appears on the list again, and a couple bomberman cels added.
Also, I tried my hand at home mat/framing today. It was a heart rending decision for me, because I wanted to give my father one of the beautiful "All Dogs Go to Heaven 2" cels with color copy background that Roy sent me. It was a tough decision.
T.T Give away one of my babies?! But I want my dad to understand why I like collecing cels so much. He's a huge ass movie buff.. (even wrote a book on it. One about comic books too.. back when collecting comics was cool.) And he liked the "ADGtH" movie, so I'm hoping he'll be impressed.
I also took the time to finally finish scanning my other "ADgtH" cels, and uploading them. So beautiful.
Some goodies coming from Russ for IDing some of his obscure unknowns. Luna's sending me a couple unwanteds from her collection. I'm still looking in the mail for that JT cel from Bunny. Maybe I should email her and remind her? .. Nah, I'll wait until after the holiday craziness.
Leedz - No problem. RSers/Betarians hafve been there for me when I was in dire peril. Consider it small bit of good karma passed on.

I've seen many a blog entry about the "coming soon" sections we have in our galleries.
I heard (read?) that it's annoying some people because they think it's a real update, and for some reason they think we do it simply to get our banner on the home page.
Well, not this little black duck.
I just have a tremendously BAD memory when it comes to who sent what when. So I like to throw that info into the "add new cel" info right away, even if I don't have the cel in hand.
Once it comes of course I move it to it's proper home.

Not feeling good. Sinus Migrane, kinda ill in the teummy. Worn out. Three day weekends are hell when you're feeling yucky, and both kids think they're going to get go somewhere.
Meanwhile... Saw "Land of the Dead" George, George, George... WHY did you feel the need to make this a "message" movie? Watching Zombies evolve is not scary. Watching Dennis Hopper be a sleezy corporate bastard is BORING. And John Leguizamo is so improbable a badass, when all you can think of is his role in "To Wong Foo.."
I hate to say it of a Zombie movie, especially one by Romero, but.. it BLEW.
Blew huge chunks.
I would have rather missed the flick, and just caught the extra "When Shaun met George" feature. That at least was entertaining.
Still, Pedro Miguel Arce as Pilsbury was THE MAN!
*wink* *wink* *SLUG* XD

Many know that I've been having severe panic attack and depression issues the last three years. I've been unable to hold a job, I can barely go grocery shopping, and new places give me hives. Litterally.
Lately I've been having a harder time grocery shopping, because my local Kroger remodeled and got a lot bigger. They also moved EVERYTHING. So I no longer had a "mental map" of where I was in relation to where I wanted to be.
This is a big deal to me. When I don't know where I am, I get really really nervous. Last week, I broke down crying because I couldn't find the salsa.
So I haven't been working, is the point. Not in a work environment anyway. Every other week, we answer phone calls after hours for our apartment complex. Just people who've locked themsleves out / have an emergency. It scores us 25% off our rent, which is nothing to sneeze at.
Cam has recieved a job offer that pays over $4 more an hour then he is currently making, in a field he's an expert in. Plus, they were willing to work around his school hours. However his training schedule might interfere with two of his classes for 3 week. >_< We're hoping for the best.

Well, I'll be looking over some cels I may have mis-identified. I confused some very similar characters from "Cyborg Kuro-chan" with a series I now know is called "Shima Shima Tora no Shimajirou".

It was kinda crappy actually.
I didn't sleep well, and then my mom suddenly wanted us to come over to celebrate
my birthday. (tomorrow) I was so tired, and grouchy. The kids were hyper, and my Dad
was an ass the whole time. I had a huge panic attack that necessitated a visit to the urgent care, and Cam had to miss work to stay home and make sure I was okay.
On the up side.. I got a lot of nice birthday wishes from friends, and ate cake~!

Or something!
Anyway! Today We went shopping for Hallowe'en costumes for the kiddos.
Lookit what they got:
http://www.zag-los.com/photos/family/elmos-2005.jpg - HALLOWEENERS!
Think we'll scare the neighbors?
So on our way back from the costume shop (it was raining) we hydroplaned into theback end of a stopped Ford F150. No damage to the ford, but our poor Toyota CorolaFX got it's hood smuushed, and lost a headlight. We exchanged info, drove home, called insurance companies, etc.
Lo and behold, when Cam drove off to go to work, halfway there the engine died.
Fuuuuuun.

Yes, with the arrival of Marie's unwanteds, I now have a total of 113 seperate Jura Tripper cels!
I also got a whole lot more "I'll make a habit of it!" cels, which I seem to be the only collector of as well. <(o.0)> I guess I love the underdogs. A couple new Pia Carrot and a lovely floating head from Rai were also in this batch.
Some other goodies I'm going to send off to Barry, who will enjoy them I hope, in his hotel room far-far away from his collection.
Yes, Barry and family (including cat) are fine.
Katrina ripped off their roof (which is good, because they needed a new one anyway) and uprooted a tree he hated. So that was actually nice. In a weird way. Rita thankfully didn't hit near them in Texas. I'm sending him a lil care package as soon as I find out his temporary P.O. Box number.
I also got a lovely drool inducing postcard from Leah today, of a place she visited in her recent vacation.
So yay for stuff!

Dispite my hopes of making this a happy post, I'm STILL having bank problems.
Why is it, that when you have NO MONEY IN THE BANK
they CHARGE YOU MONEY.. ?! WTF, now I'm $150 negative.
..and they keep charging. Like suddenly, It's going to hit a magic number and I'll
say "Okay NOW I'll pay it." XP
Also problems with my paypal account. Or maybe problems with my bank accepting charges
from paypal. I dunno. I'm missing several transactions, some stuff went through the bank
and some didn't. So Here I am thinking everything is fine, and I find out that a couple people
I won auctions from weren't actually paid! The Hell?! AND *I* haven't been paid for one of *MY*
auctions. So.. is this an ebay problem, a paypal problem, or a National Shitty Bank problem?
(name changed to .. ah hell, to make me feel better mostly.)
And of course, it's SATURDAY! So I have no hopes of even TALKING to someone before Monday.
Also, these issues are what screwed up my bank account in the first place, from what I can tell.
So please, if we had a deal, and you haven't gotten funds, let me know.
Dunno what I'll DO since the bank keeps eating my money, but I'll think of something.
I hope.
Hugs everyone, and thanks to Jillian, Amy, and Brenda, for making my day a little brighter by
sending/offering to send me thier freebie cels. You guys kept me sane.

Bad Karma strikes again.
Somone broke into our car last night and stole Cam's backpack.
I bet they were disapointed when they found out it was heavy because
it was full of school books instead of a laptop or something.
There go all his school supplies, art supplies, school books and some
campus library books.
I've posted signs in the lobby, and we checked all the dumpsters.
We'll probably never see any of it again.
Damn, it had his Macross patch on it. That thing was a keepsake.
At least they didn't damage the car, or leave the lights on or anything.

Okay, so far my son almost drowned, my daughter almost electricuted herself, and now, Cameron lit the kitchen on fire!
>_< I was asleep. Aparently, he turned away from the stove for 5 second to put the baby in her playpen. He looked back, and WOOOSH! Two foot high flames! So he tried to get to the salt (salt will put out a non-grease stove fire.. LOTS of salt tho) but the flames blocked the cabinet. [note to self: move salt] So he yelled for me. I woke up, took one look and rushed to the fire extingusher. Told him to get the kids out, them sprayed the burner and pan. .. It lit back up, I sprayed again, holding a towel over my face. By the time I got it out, the apartment was BLACK with smoke, and I was coughing.
We got some industrial fans from the aartment office, and set them up to blow the smoke out of the apartment and hallway, out the back door. Then we spent about half an hour in the car, waiting for it to be clear enough to go in to open the windows.
.. Long story short, e're all fine, there's minor paint damage and a lot of soot to clean up, but GEEZE! Who did I piss off in a past life!?

Thanks to everyone for the well wishes. Tim is back to his normal rambunctious self.
Around 11pm EST, our power went out. Not just ours, large hunks of our area. We didn't get it back up until around 2am.
So of course, instead of just sleeping through it like any normal children, mine were up and about almost as soon as it went out.
Tim kept saying "turn ON the lights!", and Miko kept scooting off to the darker parts of the apartment, and giggling her head off when I tried to find her. Around 1am Cam finally got home from work, and we attempted to amuse the kids. GameBoys helped a bit, but they are only Advances, so no backlighting. Once the power was back on, we gave everyone a nice glass of chocolate milk, and sent them back to bed.
DREAM ON MOM!
Miko crashed out after about 20 minutes, but Tim kept me up until 8am. >_< It was like he was making up for lost time.
I finally got some sleep when he crashed around 9am, but then Cam had classes, so I had to be up with Miko.
Miko, who aparently decided that, Hey, if Tim can get himself in to deadly situations, why not me? dug a little screwdriver we use for computer fixing out of the desk drawer, and STUCK IT IN THE ELECTRICAL SOCKET.
... dingbat! I hugged her while she cried for awhile about "bad light! BAD!" I checked her hands and feet, but there weren't any burns.
Thank god twice that Cam has tonight off! I'm THRASHED!
So, I might not be on much tonight. Oh, and don't worry, we're taking a trip pout to buy some of those socket covers right away.

last modified: Monday, July 18, 2005 (8:19:05 PM CST)
Today, I was chatting with HotIce on aim, when my daughter started bugging me to take her for a walk. I needed change for the washing machines anyway, so I got her brother and her dressed and headed out the door. It hadn't even shut yet before my son was off like a rocket. He's a very active 6 year old autistic boy, who rarely listens to what we say. He's also very very fast. I was carrying our 2 year old girl (and I'm in no shape to run anyway) so there wasn't a snowballs chance I'd catch him. Usually, hejust zips up the stairs to the third floor, walks all the way across the building, decends to the second floor, walks back, and hangs out by the window that overlooks the parkinglot. Not today. I checked the stairwells, hallways, back to our door, all the windows, no Timmy. That's when I started to worry. I left Miko with our neighbors (we have some great neighbors) called Cam at work, got another neighbor to help, and went out to look for him.
First stop: the pool. Somehow, I knew he went there, because he loooooves to swim in the pool. On the way there, three boys from another building waved me over, and let me know he WAS in the pool. They had waited for me, because they didn't know where we lived, but had seen us around. I tore off to the pool, with the boys trailing behind.
An asian couple had him sitting on one of the beach chairs. He was still fully dressed, but soaked. They told me they'd pulled him out, and he "seemed to be okay now, but we think he swallowed a lot of water." Tim was strangely silent, and stared blankly into space when I asked him where his shoes were. Yes, he had carefully taken off his shoes, before plunging in with everything else still on. And with my GameBoy in his hand. (it was soaked too, but that was the least of my worries.)
We got his shoes, and the GameBoy, thanked the couple profusely, and started walking back home. On the way, I stopped the three boys and gave them each a dollar. They said "You don't have to pay us!" but I insisted, and told them they were my heroes. None of them was older than 8. All of them thanked me politely, and one even ran after me a minute later and said "My mom says thanks too!"
Cam drove up just as I was opening the door to the building. Tim still hadn't said a word, even though I had talked to him all the way back. We three went to get Miko, and Tim said quietly "Baby!" when he saw her. We thanked various neighbors, and let them know the crisis was over. Tim sat like a limp puppet on the couch as I peeled his wet clothes off. After talking to him for at least 15 minutes, and making eye contact, he finally repeated "No pool all by myself" back to me. Then he touched his throat. "Hurt." As his eyelids drooped he said "night-night". I lead him to our room, and he curled up on Cam's side of the bed. Cam played with Miko in the livingroom while I watched Tim drift off to sleep.
I called my mom while watching him, and shared the story. After confirming that everything was alright, and yes, I would definately be saying my thank you prayers tonight, we rang off. Tim was out.
Cam helped me get him into his own bed, Tim said "sleeping" when I picked him up. He was asleep again before I put him on his bed.
We put a yawning Miko to bed in our room, and then I collasped on the couch in tears. Cam held me until I stopped shaking, then called his job to let them know he'd be back in just a bit. We talked a bit, and Then I sat down to write this. I'll be posting it various places so people will know why I'm not active tonight. I think *I* need to go lay down now. But not until after I look in on Timmy one more time.

She even put the scans of them up on her gallery (
http://shampoo.rubberslug.com/gallery/home.asp ) in a section called "For Zag". Hee hee..

Don't you remember that old gradeschool chant?
"Nobody likes me,
Everybody hates me,
Guess I'll go eat worms!"
I am no longer a worm eater! Thanks to the internet, I have finally found my niche.
Yes, now I am no longer a freak who likes cartoons, I am an Anime Otaku!
I am no longer a creepy comic reader, I'm a dojinshi enthusiast!
I almost feel a Stuart Smalley type re-affermation coming on!
I'm good enough, I'm otaku enough, and gosh darn it, people like me.
.... The world as we know can now end. ^_~

Roy sent me a huge collection of lovely american animation, from "Babes in Toyland" and All Dogs go to Heaven 2 & TV series. I'm estatic. But some are just HUGE! I'm wondering how to scan them. I think I'll call my local FeEx/Kinkos and see if they have a large scanner...

last modified: Tuesday, April 05, 2005 (8:24:46 PM CST)
.. yeah. I'm in a funk.
Not a good it's-got-a-beat-and-you-can-dance-to-it funk. A damn-I'm-bored funk.
After my shopping spree of cels this last month, knowing that there's only one more delivery coming kinda has me down.
In other news, I am aparently a weirdo.
My wishlist is full of strange / obscure wants.
What can I say? I like what I like.
Besides, most of my wishlist items are fairy affordable (when available) .. Unlike others *coughJOEcough* who will spend upwards of $1000 on a couple cels. Heh. Maybe I'm NOT so weird. ^_~

RS ate my first attempt at this post.
I'm just waiting on my last cel to be delivered. Rinkya is sending Pretz winging to me! Yay!
Anyone who hasn't seen "Final Fantasy ; Legend of the Crystals, I highly recommend it. Even the dub isn't too bad. Kermit Miller as Pretz. XD I think he's better suited for this role than Tenchi.
I also have an Akazukin Chacha UFO doll coming.

I had joined Anime-Beta a little whil;e back, but hadn't said much.. then vapalla reminded me it existed.
Meanwhile, my computer kept crashing. Ran Spybot S&D and Ad Aware. Woosh, that's a lot of spyware. Where'd I pick that up!?
Joe's cels came! Yay!

The Gamma correction on my scanner is so screwed up.
>_< I started to scan the cels from Anitra, only to find that my normal "fix it" proceedure, of scanning three different angles to avoid scanner errors, and puzzling them together no longer works. I used to be able to fit all the scans together so it looked like a flawless scan. No more. Now the gamma is gratated on the whole scan.. so when I go to match the scan, the shades are all up and down the spectrum, and look like hell.
DAMN. That means shelling out for a new scanner.
*sigh* Ah well, I've been wanting one ever since this one started screwing up.. (about a year ago) It will be nice to be able to just scan things once, and not have to spend an hour each cel editing to make it look good.

Joe, you rock. JWR is sending me a 2 layer Slayers cel he got extra. .. I'm so happy. Slayers was my first anime series. ( as opposed to movies. I saw a lot of the Miyazaki films as a child after my dad brought them back from japan.)
Everyone raise the soda can of your choise to Joe, who is awesome. *nods*

Lately, I've been lucky enough to find a lot of people willing to sell me Jura Tripper cels for dirt cheap. S'wonderful, S'marvelous! More JT for me, and they fit my pocketbook too. So now I have almost 30 cels from a series I've never seen! O_O I love them!

3 new Jura Tripper cels coming from Anime Breeze. They were marketed as "unknown" on eBay. That word always gets my attention of course. Then I saw they were JT, and cheap. That sealed the deal. But I forgot to bid! O_O .. no problem! No one did, and it ended without a winning bid. Zag contacts seller, offers to buy teh cels straight from them. Seller agrees. Viola! Never Give Up! Gamabtte Zag! .. or something.
Since we're getting some nice $ back from the IRS this year, I'll be getting a few more goddies too!

Thanks to generous donations of cels they didn't want from Renee, Barry, and Jenn, my little gallery is growing bigger every day.
It seems I am very lucky when it comes to cel pen-pals. : )
